Julio Cesar Battistelli aka Yaia is an Argentine illustrator and art designer. He has sended me his portfolio of Skateboard-art related called YaiaGift and it’s some smashin’ hand drawn graphics right there! He has worked with a few underground brands and also got his own indy art project under the name of Turbo Zombie where he collaborates with other artists and makes his own thing. Zoning the bay trying to find affordable memorabilia (Lucero art at the time), i found that auction of a Schmitt Stix X1 Lucero from 1986. Look at the price for a direct buy on this one. $9000. Crazy! That user takes part of the best Schmitt Stix pieces a collector could dream of…Three of those decks i have back in the days . Here’s the rest of the listing. I wish i could flashback 87 just to cop one at a regular price, putting $2000 into a board is inconcevable but what a fuckin’ collection! -KoolFunc’88
