HAZE WHEELS “SHREDD SERIES” BY KOOLFUNC’88

I have waited enough on that, so i’m unleashing the beast! here’s my first serie of skateboard wheels for the new HAZE WHEELS brand, which is the new project of Bertrand Soubrier (ex Travel Wheels) under BasementHill supervision. They decided to gave me the Art direction on their projects and i’m more than honored. I’ve been waiting on that since a very long time and i’ve been thinking it could happened only within’ a USA connection. We based the “SHREDD SERIES” on what we loved the most, the old school type of graphics from the late 80’s and 90’s with a twist of new style lettering, all hand-drawn, no computer! Of course the wheels are quality proof as they’re coming from the same manufacturer as the late Travel. The series include 5 pro-models (Jody Smith, Vincent Bressol, Raul Navarro, Petr Horvat and Bertrand Soubrier) + a generic team model. All those pro-riders are of course part of the HAZE WHEELS Team along Antoine Roussel, Heinrick Peccatus, Sewa Kroetkov and Sean Smith. WE STRONG!!! Release date is due to 04.15.10 and you can cop em’ up in your local skateshop soon. CARHARTT BMX CRUISER 24″ (2010)

Here’s the 24″ Bmx Cruiser by Carhartt/WeThePeople with my Graphics on, basicaly the whole set of decals and the leather pivotal seat. Great Vehicule with nice 24″ Sky Mags, K-Rad Tires and full Cro-Mo Frame & Fork by the european manucturer WTP. I would love to ride it! -KoolFunc’88

PUSHEAD FEATURED IN SPARROW ART MAGAZINE

Sparrow art book features for their 17th volume, the legendary Pushead (longtime Thrasher editorialist, Zorlac graphic man and mad talented artist) in the March issue. Expect some gory and creepy illustration from the californian artist who gave so much for the Skateboard-Graphic culture. I’m an absolut fan of his drawing style, especially the B&W pieces. -KoolFunc’88

THE OJ III’S RETURN (SK8 WHEELS)

For those who often jumped on our blog, you already know i’m mad about good manufactured products coming from Bmx or Skateboard industry. Maybe cause i’m involved time to time in that, graphicaly. Anyway it’s the return of the Mid-School Skateboard everywhere! the late 80’s and 90’s are going to do a living dead reminiscence! Like those classic 99A OJIII which come in 53, 54, 55 and 58 mm with Neil Blender, Jason Adams and Chet Childress names on em’. Those are so fresh for smooth cruisin’ ride. Don’t be fool i will Bring Justice to the game too, anytime soon my friends!! hahhaa -KoolFunc’88

WU-MASSACRE ORIGINAL COVER SKETCHES

I have previously posted the complete set of covers for the release of the next opus from an half part of the Wu as Ghost, Rae & Meth under the bloody theme of “Wu-Massacre”. Artwork has been done by comic illustrator Chris Bachalo, and to eleveate the concept a lil bit more to this fantastic work, 100 random copies will include the original sketches. Good idea!!
