DFace told me he quit skateboarding when he was 18, and I don’t particularly like the way he robs from skate culture in his work. to my eyes he takes amazing, original art and rips out the soul
I built my own skate/paint device from scrap materials found in my studio, because THAT is creativity – not getting someone else to build your shit – and because skateboarding is punk https://vimeo.com/29094424
BUT I agree with his closing statement. we really need places like Southbank that encourage creativity and show people there are things they can do with their time they don’t involve commerce and capitalism
SAVE THE SOUTHBANK!!!
