SANTA CRUZ LIMITED SUMMER RE-ISSUES (GRABKE ST. & JESSEE SUNGOD)

What a good shot right here from NHS, those two re-issues are smashin’ hot! The Grabke Street is my favourite from the whole series and that mini Jessee Sungod is iconic. The shapes look pretty similar to the og on the picture instead a smaller wheelbase and by the way a bigger nose kick (I still don’t know why?), 3 different stains, hope it’s nicely done like the Neptune Jessee from a few years ago. I have to crack some $ on these classic Phillips, and i recommand SoCalSkates if you want one. Funcrime’88

  1. I had the Jessee mini, and it was a better shape than this one (and I’m sure the graphic came much closer to the edges too) so I find this a little disappointing. Grabke looks much better, though the super long noses make them look a bit weird – you can clearly see where the trucks originally would have been as there are no important details there.

After getting some infos about those decks, this is just “simulations” and the final products will be more closer to the og than this, as they’re not some “updated” shapes, and only the base sizes have changed.

Finally got them in hands and they are simply great re-issues. Not as the og for the mini Jessee in term of shape but it’s all good, they’re mad nice looking and no updated kick-nose shape hopefully, just modern mount trucks.

  4. Could you post a photo of these reissues?
As it is difficult to tell what they really look like from the images, as they are not actual photos. Thanks.

I’ll try to shoot some picts…but they’re almost perfect excepted it’s not screened the right way….

  5. Great. Thanks. As I am not sure what colorway to purchase for the Jason Jessee.

  6. Cool for the wall. Crap to skate. Have one of their Roskopp reissues (MADE IN CHINA). CRAP GLUE. Bailed a couple times in the pool, splitting ALL OVER the place down the sides. I was WAY more harsh on my old SC decks back in the day. They took a beating and never cracked like this Chinese crap does. Beautiful wall art though!

    • Exactly, i have the same Roskopp, didn’t skate it but looks so cheap in the construction. They’re basically “disposable” decks and they’re super nice at it!
